Being retired on a fixed income, we were very cautious as to the selling of this home. A long time close friend recommended Gary and we are very happy that he did. Gary is very knowledgeable about the real-estate market and the particularities about each unique area in the greater St. Louis area. Gary made a suggestion, based on his experience, of staging the home. We were hesitant but opted to do it (partially because we didn't like the house looking empty). After seeing the staging, and subsequently the pictures on the websites, (and the results), we are very happy that we elected to have staging done. Every step of progress with showings, feedback, offers, and obstacles, was communicated to us in a way that made us feel as though we were Gary's most important clients. To put it concisely: Instead of the trying and worrisome experience we anticipated, Gary turned this into a pleasant, positive and educational experience with a completely successful resolution.

We went through a lot with Gary this past year and it was such a positive experience. When it came time to sell our home of 40 years, Gary was right there every step of the way. Once we contacted him, he came over to our home and helped up start the process. We had a lot of updating to do to our home. He walked the entire house with us and suggested all the things we could do to increase the value of our home and what we could leave for the new owners to add their own personal touches to. Although it took quite a while for us to complete the updates, Gary was continuing to contact us to see how things were going and see if we needed anything. It finally came time to find a smaller home and Gary was wonderful. He was always patient and helpful when it came to our questions and concerns with each place we looked at. Once we moved into our new home, we were able to finish up the updates on our original home. We finally finished and Gary put our house on the market on a Thursday and 3 days later we sold it for asking price! The closing process went so smoothly with Gary’s attention to detail on all paperwork that was needed for such a quick closing. He would send texts and phone calls to keep us updated on the process. The piece that impressed us most about Gary was that he was our advocate from the day we met him to list our Countrylane Woods home through the closing of our new home in a city about 200 miles from St. Louis. Equally important was his attention to the multitude of details that go along with a home sale. He knows the legalities; he does what is right and works to see that everything is thought out and executed thoroughly.
